Josh received a B.A. in Business Administration from LeTourneau University in 2004. Upon graduation, he spent four years working as a leader in a small church in Mansfield, OH. As a student pastor, he worked with families and students dealing with addictions and significant traumas. This created a desire in him to be better resourced on some of the bigger questions in life, inspiring him to attend Dallas Theological Seminary where he earned a Masters of Theology. His program emphasis was in leadership and spiritual formation. From 2012 to 2019 these skills were put to use serving full-time as the Community Pastor at Hill Country Bible Church in Pflugerville, TX.  Some of his roles included marriage counseling, grief counseling, developing mentoring programs for troubled youth in the public school system, creating support systems for single mothers in need of aid, launching a Celebrate Recovery Program, and oversight of 150 volunteers on a regular basis. While engaged these initiatives, he found his passion to be in the area of counseling. His ministry experiences  in conjunction with a year-long leadership development program with Fuller Seminary, led him to pursue and complete a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University.

Josh completed a year and a half internship at Cornerstone Counseling Center prior to joining Cornerstone as a full-time counselor.  He is passionate about helping people live life to the fullest (John 10:10). He enjoys helping men and women find freedom from unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and ways of viewing life and relationships.

Marriage counseling, depression, anxiety, & issues of worth, are all areas that Josh enjoys helping both men and women through. Josh  works with a wide range of clients from teen boys to adults. Josh’s preferred theoretical orientations are: Cognitive Behavioral, Person-Centered, and Existential Therapy. He is also currently receiving additional specialized training from The Gottman Institute for marriage counseling.

Josh has been married to his wife Jenny for 14 years. They have 3 children together. Josh enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, and long walks with God. Most of all, Josh finds purpose in being used to encourage others.
