I work with children, teens, and women, addressing a range of challenges including anxiety, trauma, depression, attachment issues, suicidality, self-harm and grief. I also have experience supporting children diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. My therapeutic approach is rooted in building trust, fostering genuine connection, and addressing the whole person—emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually—while validating and strengthening individual resilience.
I integrate a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused and trauma-informed CBT, as well as techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Narrative Therapy. My work is guided by person-centered and existential theories, allowing for a holistic and compassionate approach to healing. Additionally, as a 200-hour Registered Yoga Instructor, I incorporate mindfulness and body-awareness techniques into therapy for those interested in exploring the connection between emotions, trauma, and the body. I have seen firsthand the benefits of integrating these practices in fostering self-awareness and emotion regulation.
For clients who seek it, I also integrate faith into therapy, recognizing that our understanding of God and His love for us plays a significant role in mental and emotional well-being. My faith in Christ deeply informs my work, and I consider it a privilege to support clients in incorporating their spiritual beliefs into their healing journey.
Outside of my professional life, I am a lifelong learner who enjoys hiking, camping, running, gardening, reading, traveling, and practicing yoga. Most of all, I treasure spending time with my 4-year-old daughter, my husband of 11 years, and our two-year-old lab-mix, Rosie.
