Josh earned a B.A. in Business Administration from LeTourneau University in 2004. After graduation, he spent four years serving as a leader in a small church in Mansfield, OH, where he worked as a student pastor supporting families and students facing addiction and significant trauma. This experience sparked a deep desire to be better equipped to address life’s bigger questions, leading him to pursue a Master of Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary with an emphasis in leadership and spiritual formation.
From 2012 to 2019, Josh served as the Community Pastor at Hill Country Bible Church in Pflugerville, TX. During this time, he provided marriage and grief counseling, developed mentoring programs for at-risk youth in the public school system, established support networks for single mothers in need, launched a Celebrate Recovery Program, and managed a team of 150 volunteers. Through these initiatives, he discovered his true passion—counseling. His extensive ministry experiences, combined with a year-long leadership development program through Fuller Seminary, ultimately led him to pursue and complete a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Colorado Christian University.
Josh completed a year-and-a-half internship at Cornerstone Counseling Center before joining as a full-time counselor. He is passionate about helping people live life to the fullest (John 10:10) and guiding individuals toward freedom from unhelpful thoughts, emotions, and relational patterns. He specializes in marriage counseling, depression, anxiety, self-worth issues, and men’s issues—working with clients ranging from teen boys to adults. His therapeutic approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Existential Therapy. He has received specialized training in marriage counseling through The Gottman Institute.
Josh has been married to his wife, Jenny, since 2007, and together they have three children. He enjoys mountain biking, rock climbing, and long walks with God. Above all, he finds deep fulfillment in encouraging and walking alongside others on their journey toward healing and growth.
Josh also leads Cornerstone’s Church and Community Relations effort, fostering meaningful relationships with local churches and community organizations to further our mission.
