Josh’s journey began in his childhood church, where he first discovered his passion for working with youth. It was there that he began to sense God’s calling. Later, while pursuing his graduate studies, he served as a case manager for a private foster care agency, building connections with teenagers and guiding them through challenges. Josh believes God opened the door for him to join Cornerstone’s ministry, allowing him to step fully into his true calling.
Josh believes that each person should be viewed holistically and that all needs should be considered in counseling: psychological, social, physical and spiritual. Josh uses a multiple theory approach that includes Cognitive Behavioral, Person Centered, Adlerian and Reality Therapies. Josh’s foundational philosophy of counseling is Christian based and he honors Biblical principles throughout the counseling process. Josh works with adults, individuals, men, women, couples, and children & adolescents (11 years and up) who are experiencing an array of difficulties. Josh is married to his best friend Jennifer, a local worship leader and they serve together at Christ Church.
Along with counseling, Josh serves as Cornerstone’s System’s Manager and cares for the building and maintenance operations.
