Debbie has served as the Head of School at Cornerstone Christian Academy since July 2014. Before joining CCA, she gained extensive teaching experience in both public and private schools at the elementary and middle school levels, earning Teacher of the Year honors twice at different schools. In addition to her teaching background, she has held various administrative roles, including elementary principal, assistant administrator, and head administrator in the private school sector.

With over 30 years of experience in education and administration, Debbie brings a deep love of learning, compassion for students and families, creativity, insight, and a wealth of expertise to her leadership. She is passionate about creating an engaging, multi-sensory, hands-on learning environment that nurtures and encourages students to thrive. She enjoys leading and collaborating with fellow educators to provide exceptional learning experiences that foster academic, emotional, personal, and spiritual growth. Her greatest joy is seeing each student develop and fully embrace their God-given potential.

Debbie is grateful for the opportunity to serve in leadership at CCA, the educational division of Cornerstone, as it continues to serve and support Hickory and the surrounding communities. She and her husband, Bobby, have been married for 32 years and have two adult children and one soon-to-be high school graduate. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, watching sports, and walking with her husband.
